Hooked stories!

I'm delighted to announce that I'm now writing short stories for Hooked! Hooked produces fast-paced serialized fiction that can be read a line at a time on a smartphone through either the Hooked app or Snapchat. My first story, "The Future is Artificial," is a sci-fi thriller set in an android research and production facility during the robot uprising. You can read it at this link or by searching for the Hooked publisher on Snapchat. My next story, "Stood Up on New Year's Eve," is a romantic comedy about a woman who, you guessed it, gets stood up on New Year's Eve and tries to find a replacement kiss for midnight. It'll be published on December 30, 2019. Another story, "Love Potions and Lemon Meringue Pie," will be published on January 9, 2020. In this romance, a woman purchases a love potion at the farmer's market to make her roommate fall in love with her... with unintended consequences.

Thus, Avelaine Bourget was born. She's ninth in line to the throne of Galeraine, but not for long. Through murder and manipulation, Avelaine quickly begins to rise. Her last name and her poison rings are my homage to Lucrezia Borgia, and her angry ambition channels a lot of the rage so many women I know have been feeling in recent years. Galeraine is a fantasy country based on 17th century Versailles. I wanted the lavish opulence of that setting to contrast with the brutal powe
